How is this team contributing to growth of Head Digital Works?
We are an internet product company building exciting games/game formats for multi-million users, who are highly engaged with the games that we publish. The games are delivered on Android, iOS & Web(ReactJs/phaser) platforms powered by a game engine and a seamless platform. We take pride in the smooth UI, ability to handle high concurrency with near-single-digit millisecond latencies. Ours is a hybrid platform with computes running on both on-prem and in the cloud.
We have a plethora of serverless functions and microservices built either on NodeJs or Java. We use web sockets & messaging services to power game interactions on a real-time basis. During peak hours we experience many multiples of load seen from off-peak hours and our application & infrastructure is tuned to handle the loads optimally. Our systems generate many gigabytes of data everyday which is fed to our analytics engine for generating actionable insights.
Our current game offerings are rummy, poker, carrom, pool & fantasy sports and we want to add games that would be highly engaging to gamers.

This team maintains and manages current applications for future development, develops new features and enhancements, manages bugs, and user journey. They oversee the complete frontend development of 12 apps.
Tech Stack used - Kotlin and Java for Android. Swift and Objective-C for iOS and C# and Unity Engine for Unity
What will you be responsible for?
1) Manage the development and deployment processes – make sure that the features are shipped optimally, and the product stays healthy once they hit production.
2) Design, review, write and test code – this is hands-on engineering role, and you will be directly involved in the design and development of new features, writing, reviewing and testing code.
3) Insist on the highest standards and create functional and engaging features that will delight our users.
4) Ensure our apps always exceeds Android vitals and above competitors.
5) Provide mentorship and feedback to teammates to make your team the best version of itself. Motivate and encourage everyone to give their best work.
6) Report to the Engineering Manager for Mobile App - own the technical delivery of the in-house.
7) Liasise with 3rd parties and Integrate their SDKs after thorough checks.
Who are we looking for?
The ideal candidate should hold 8+ years of total experience with expertise on below skills.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
- Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
- Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with the use of additional sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
- Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
- A knack for benchmarking and optimization
-Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git Familiarity with continuous integration
