Your Mission
We are looking for a Confirmed Android Engineer to join our Post-Booking squad at BlaBlaCar. You'll build and optimise features enabling passengers to effortlessly manage their bookings post-purchase, enhancing the after-sales experience and fostering customer satisfaction and loyalty.
As a Confirmed Android Engineer, your role will be to work on technical challenges and product feature developments from early-stage conception to development, testing strategy, deployment and monitoring of new releases.
You will be reporting to Alexandre, Engineering Manager of the squad, and working with a team of 6 other engineers. You will also be part of the transversal Android chapter composed of the 11 Android Engineers dedicated to BlaBlaCar's mobile application.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will mainly:
• Design, architect and develop features for the BlaBlaCar applications
• Collaborate with non-technical stakeholders to help shape the features that lands in production
• Be responsible for the quality of the application, and contribute to improving the tooling and the CI/CD pipeline
• Share your knowledge in the team: provide documentation on your work, enforce good practices and processes, communicate on changes
• Conduct code reviews
Your qualifications
• You have 3+ years experience building Android apps with a strong engineering culture
• You are proficient with MVVM architecture and clean architecture
• You have experience working on RESTful API, Dagger, Retrofit, Kotlin, Kotlin coroutines, unit and integration tests
• You are able to find the good balance between fast iterations and quality of delivery
• You have good communication skills, and you enjoy sharing & learning from others
• You embrace change, are able to take a step back, and focus on added-value tasks
• You have a results-driven and product-oriented mindset
• You are fluent in English
