ELEKS Software Engineering and Development Office is looking for a Trainee/Junior Android Developer in our locations in Ukraine to join our team.
ABOUT PROJECT
The client's business operates in the United States and Canada.
The project is a set of software applications, infrastructure, and hardware resale in the domain of Convenience Store Supply and Logistics/Products Wholesale.
Our products simplify the workflows of the distribution business and give business flexibility and mobility.
Android solutions are designed for ordering a variety of products and help drivers deliver the products.
A candidate will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of existing applications on Android. Applications implemented using Java and Kotlin programming languages.
REQUIREMENTS
- Non-commercial experience in developing Android Apps
- Understanding of the basic principles of Android
- Experience in using GIT version control system
- Understanding of OOP principles and software design
- Understanding of SOLID principles
- Awareness of the Android UI/UX guidelines
- Student of computer science, physics or mathematics
- English Intermediate level
WILL BE PLUS
- Knowledge of Java/Kotlin
- Knowledge of SQL, SQLite databases

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct a simple range of programming tasks including analysis, coding, and debugging of complex program logic
- Conduct test procedures by using testing, and debugging programs
- Develop algorithms according to technical specifications or other requirements documentation
- Use standard algorithms in the applicable cases
- Write program code according to the defined application architecture
- Structure and format source code, comment and mark up the code, as well as name variables, functions, classes, data structures, and files according to the company conventions and industry best practices
- Track changes, compare source code in the defined version control system
- Agree task deadlines with Senior Developer or Technical Leader
