The role
The Food Alliance helps millions of HelloFresh customers in 17 countries (and growing) across the globe discover tasty and healthy food that they will love cooking and enjoy eating. This Alliance enables that by building great customer experiences across web, iOS, and Android - powered by scalable backend systems. Additionally our team provides tools for internal users to plan the product offering for our customers. The Food Alliance has a variety of interesting product, design, and technical challenges. They shape the direction of new innovative products, scale up existing systems, and unify complex data workflows.
What you’ll do
- Create and build an excellent mobile experience for millions of customers, who interact with our apps every week
- Focus on delivering a smooth and pleasant user experience
- Take an active ownership of our engineering and process quality and our testing strategy
- Be part of true agile and solution oriented squads, collaborating cross functionally with Engineers, Designers, Product Owners and Data Engineers
- Contribute to the learning and advancement of our Engineering Best Practices while offering mentorship to other colleagues
What you’ll bring
- You have relevant working experience with Android development and Kotlin
- You can contribute from the requirements phase to release
- You are able to define and drive technical improvements
- You know how to ensure quality
- You are enthusiastic about software development best practices, like Design Patterns, Clean Code, Agile Development
- You love to stay up to date and evaluate, learn and use the latest technologies
- Knowing one or more of these will be a plus: Fastlane, A/B Testing, JetPack Compose, Espresso, Design Systems, GraphQL
Interacting with front-end developers, designers, product managers and our teams around the world is very much part of our day-to-day, so communication skills are vital. We are looking for strong problem-solvers who can apply their engineering skills to a wide range of platforms and environments, while also acting as an ambassador to coach team members and stakeholders.
