Job Description
We are looking for an Android Senior Software Engineer to join the Conversion team, whose objective is to optimise all the conversion journeys and ensure reliable funnel of subscription.
As part of a feature team, you will work along with iOS / Frontend / Backend / QA Engineers, but also Product Managers, Designers and many others, to deliver on challenging projects directly impacting the company’s objectives.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will also be an active member of Android Community of Practice. from supporting other Android Engineers to participate to cross-team initiatives, your expertise will benefit the whole company.
What you will do:
Design and build new features at scale, by collaborating with your teammates and the broader Deezer Android community
Ensure that all written code and architecture is high quality, scalable, and performant
Take initiative in refactoring and to keep things simple
Keep in touch with last evolutions related team’s scope and Android ecosystem
Help raise the quality bar across teams through code reviews
Qualifications
This role is excellent for a person with:
Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming and architecture in a mobile environment
5+ years experience in building Android applications
A mindset focused on code performance & quality
Experience in understanding large and complex code bases
Experience with Kotlin and RxJava
Confidence with unit and functional testing
Proficient, autonomous and rigorous behaviour
Experience with performance analysis and optimisation or with Google Play Billing is a plus
