The primary objective of an Android Developer at Mindvalley is to contribute to the development of an ecosystem of Native Android Apps aimed at dominating the personal growth market. This role involves working closely with UX designers and product managers to create impactful products, ensuring performance and quality, and participating in all phases of the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be a pivotal part of a team dedicated to pushing humanity forward by reforming global education through technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of Android applications, contributing to both new projects and the optimization of existing ones
  • Work with Kotlin, Android Jetpack Compose, and Gradle with the guidance of other senior developers
  • Engage in code reviews and collaborate with the team to maintain a high-quality codebase
  • Participate in the design and implementation of user interfaces that offer a seamless user experience
  • Support the integration of various services, including APIs and third-party services, into our apps
  • Contribute to the testing and debugging of applications, ensuring robustness and performance
  • Stay updated with the latest Android development trends and technologies, suggesting improvements and innovations
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, design, web, and mobile disciplines

Skills:

  • 6+ years experience as Android developer
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and familiarity with Android development tools like Android Studio
  • Good understanding of Android Jetpack components and Gradle
  • Knowledge of MVVM architecture and principles of clean code
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
  • Understanding of unit testing and UI testing in Android
  • Strong desire to learn and grow within the Android development sphere
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
