Our suite of mobile applications for fleet managers and drivers is key to our product strategy and we are now seeking a talented Android developer to take our apps to the next level. Required Skills
- 1-5 years of experience developing native applications for Android.
- Full understanding of the full mobile development life cycle, including at least one application released on the Play Store.
- Solid experience of developing with MAUI or Xamarin a major plus.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Kotlin and Java for Android and the Android SDK.
- Experience of working with device cameras, sensors and communications (GPS, accelerometer, Bluetooth etc.)
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.
- Ability to rapidly evaluate new technologies to meet project deadlines.
- Experience of source code management using Git.
- Experience of agile development using JIRA.
Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work closely with the QA team to diagnose and troubleshoot customer issues, and quickly resolve reported defects.
- Clearly document code functionality and organisation using best practices.
- Participate in agile planning events including scrums, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
