Argent aims to be crypto’s defining company: the first to bring the benefits of self-custody to a global audience. Giving people control of their assets and identity, and helping them to enjoy new economic opportunities.
To do this we’ve built the first smart wallet. As different from traditional wallets as smart phones were to 90’s phones. Argent is easier, safer, cheaper, and greener.
As a company, we’ve raised a $40m Series B from Paradigm, Index Ventures and Creandum, putting us in a strong financial position with 4 years of runway.
We work remotely across Europe, prioritizing autonomy and flexibility. And it’s a particularly exciting time to join as we’re launching new breakthrough products on Starknet.

About the Android team
Our Android team is comprised of three developers, and we are an integral part of the mobile team, which includes a total of 13 members including iOS developers, QA testers, product managers, and designers. Our approach centers around prioritizing progress through pragmatism, and placing a strong emphasis on practical solutions. We value open communication within the team, a practice that contributes to the overall quality of our work. We are constantly researching and seeking ways to improve our code base. In the ever-evolving landscape of the crypto space, we get to work on problems no one else is working on and developing brand new features.
As Android Engineer, you will get to:
You'll be crucial to our effort to build the best mobile product in crypto and fintech. To do this you'll take ownership of the entire development lifecycle, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and quickly ship features in an agile environment. All of this whilst working with cutting-edge technology.
Your experience should include:
- Kotlin 💜
- Strong computer science fundamentals
- Reactive programming (Coroutines + Flow 😍/ RxJava)
- Architecture design patterns
- Network protocols and data persistence techniques
- UI framework knowledge to deliver the best UX
- 2-3 years of experience as an Android Engineer
You might also have:
- Experience in blockchain technologies
- Common Android libraries such as Dagger, Retrofit, Room & Coil
- DevOps skills
- Testing Android apps with unit tests and UI tests
- Eager to research and learn new technologies
- Implementing security best practices for safeguarding data on a mobile device
- Building Compose UI
