Josef Kerkinni

I'm a Senior Android Engineer with 10+ years of experience building and scaling mobile products in health, fitness, retail, and enterprise. I specialize in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android architectures (MVVM/MVI, coroutines/Flow), and I’ve led core app surfaces used by hundreds of thousands of users. Beyond Android UI, I’m comfortable across the stack—designing REST APIs, working with backend services (Node.js/Java/Python), and owning features end-to-end from idea to release. I enjoy platform-style work (shared SDKs, CI/CD, architecture, developer experience) as much as product features, and I love mentoring other engineers and collaborating closely with design and product. On the side, I’m building a simulation game in Unity, which feeds my interest in performance, visual polish, and gamified user experiences.
