Job Description

As an Android Developer you work on the Wehkamp Retail Group e-commerce platform that millions of customers use 24 hours a day. You translate the ideas of the organization into an innovative Android app and you ensure that the app remains technically at the forefront. With the latest techniques you implement features according to the design principles that we use within the team. If you think something could be improved, don't hesitate to discuss it with your team members. You work with your team to improve the experience of our customers.

Qualifications

What is important:
You have experience as a software developer and also at least 3 years of work experience in developing native Android apps. You are eager to learn, analytical, pragmatic, a team player, have a DevOps mentality and are positive and proactive. Of course you like to take on a challenge and obviously you are not afraid to make a release. 

You can work from the office as easily as from home using Google Meet or Slack. Of course you have experience with:

  • Java 
  • Kotlin
  • Gradle
  • AndroidX
  • Firebase
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes
  • Dagger & Hilt
  • Creating and maintaining modules
  • App bundles
  • Kotlin Coroutines and Flows
  • Room
  • LiveData
  • VIewModels

Your code is not complete without Unit Tests and you are familiar with the implementation of JSON (REST) APIs. Knowledge of API development and iOS development is a plus. The market is changing fast and that's why we're looking for you to help us stay ahead.
